OPPOSITION LEADER ANWAR REMAINS

HEAD LEGAL, Dec 19: Alliance has decided to appoint directly Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the opposition leader even though he is suspended for six months as a member of Parliament.
The decision was reached by the Supreme Council meeting held at the People's Alliance VIP room Millennium Council, in conjunction with the course of the convention.
The decision was announced by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said in his speech to the winding up speech at the convention Pakatan Rakyat today.
According to Abdul Hadi, People's Alliance Leadership Council meeting in their meeting last moment decided to maintain Anwar as opposition leader.
